This is a climatic scene from the sequel to First Impressions. Realize that if my book is ever published I will have to delete this wiki from existence and wipe all of your memories. This scene is suggesting that my lead in the 1870s wrote the song 'You Raise Me Up'.

...Rose ran through the streets, her heart a mile ahead of her. Finally she reached the square seeing her mother bound, a noose being put over her head.
"NOOOOOO!" She gave a blood-curdling cry, stealing the attention of all but the executioner, who swiftly pulled the lever. Naomi eyed Rose with puffy red eyes, shouting, "I love..." before the noose tightened around her throat. Flying through the astonished crowd, Rose sprinted to the gallows, tears slowly burning her face. Others successfully shouted defensive cries, causing the rope suffocating Naomi to be cut. Catching her still living body, Rose fell to her knees and cradled her mother.
"I...I'm too light, I...guess." Naomi gasped, clutching to Rose, "I...am tired, please sing." Very quietly Rose began, choking on herself.
"When I am down and oh my soul's so weary
When troubles come and my heart burdened be
Then I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit a while with me..."

A gunshot was heard as Naomi's face morphed in pain, letting out a desparate gasp, causing a great commotion. The students arrived at the site, led by a sprinting Aaron. Farraday saw the group and approached Aaron who saw an unusual sight from him, tears in his hazel eyes.
"Aaron, what's going on?" Helena asked solemnly, an unusual dark sound to her voice. Aaron ignored the question and tried to see Rose, hidden by the crowd. The commotion in which this occured soon died as the innocent mother died as well, cradled in the arms of her child. Her eyes made contact with her daughters, tears crawling from both pairs. Rose felt a noose tighten around her own throat as wellas she continued the song, meaning every word with her mind, body, and soul.
"You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am stong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be..."

Naomi's lips trembled into a faint smile, crackily whispering, "I love you." Her hand felt Rose's, which held her shoulder. Breathing to repeat the chorus, Rose held her mother most delicately and most strongly as she died. Blood flowed from her back, creating a growing pool in which the bullet sank. Naomi shivered painfully as Rose sang of strength on her shoulders, exhaled, and died. But words before finishng the ballad, Rose broke into a full sob. To understand what Rose felt then would take absolute silence, darkness, loss of all sense and complete vulnerability. She was completely unaware of her aunts' arrival to the site. unaware of her fellows students' gasps as they saw the crime, unaware of the world except for the body in her arms.Within a span of ten minutes the crowd dispersed, leaving Rose's family, closest friends, and the students. Her sob faded to a fierce crying with no visible end. With red puffy eyes Marie nodded to her crew, cuing them to slowly approach Roseanna. Kneeling down they gently lifted the still bleeding body and slowly carried it away. Roseanna stayed kneeling, blood-soaked, and all alone.

Hi everyone! Here's stuff I think is cool! I have BCCNS or Gorlin's syndrome (go to www.bccns.org). I AM A HUGE THEATER FANATIC AND KNOW THE LYRICS TO ABOUT 10 DIFFERENT MUSICALS!!! I enjoy laughing at movies and movies that are inspiring or eye-opening. One of my favorite online videos is The Evil Strawberry. I believe HSM is an art of sorts but completely unoriginal, along with plenty of other things in today's media. I am playing "Suck it" (inside joke!) Eunice (meaning good victory | eu=good) Nicholson in "Nifty Fifties" who enjoys looking on the MENu and somehow aged a decade in one week (?). And I very much enjoy food!
YAY! SWEENEY TOOD GOT AN A- FROM TIME MAG AND WON THE ACADEMY AWARD FOR ARTISTIC DIRECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Phantom of the Opera (sigh) a classic!

This is from a book I'm writing First Impressions. Critique it as much as possible, pleeeeeeaaaaaase! (This is an abridged version of this scene)(OK, this new version is extremely abridged due to a request for more excerpts from different books)

...Right when he entered, a sack was over his head and he was on the floor. He was tied up as a sword unsheathed, “You scream, you die.”
“Yeah, 'cause we're holding you ransom.” Lizzy said casually.
Sigh. How many times must I tell ye? Ye don’t tell a hostage things like that!” The other woman sighed.
“Excuse me if I don’t know how to kidnap, but I know how to get a gent.” There were sniggers from the women, but they instantly stopped.
“Men are not required by any of we lady pirates unlike ye landlubber girls, all leapin’ aroun’ tryin’ to get one’s eye.”
“I’m not sure your crew would agree with ya on that one, Captain Maryann!” Lizzy jeered.
Maryann threatened, “It’s Marie now. I didn’t want to steal Read’s name, so it’s Marie.”
Ben heard another sword being drawn, “I do not care what your new name is, you are in a lot of trouble.” He smiled at Rose’s voice.
Marie laughed, “Ye sure ye want this?” Clank! “All right then!” Rose knew what she was doing, for the fight lasted a good while. Ben heard a sword drop to the ground, "And the pupil surpasses her aunt.” These two, a street dancer and a pirate captain, were sweet Rose’s aunts?

HERE'S A NEW SCENE READ IT!!! (PLEASE)
...As the rehearsal continued, Rose could feel her body giving in. Come on, just push a little harder. She thought to herself, Madame LeGrand carefully inspecting each of the girls. Helena looked delighted seeing Rose falter under what she thought to be pressure. All of the others watched her dancing worriedly, how she would lose focus during a turn or falter a bit on her landing of a leap. Rose saw the room spinning, her head burning while the rest of her body was frozen. What a glorious sound the bell was to her ears, she was the first to leave with her belongings. Miraculously making it to the dormitories, she collapsed in her bed, dead to the world around her. Several hours later, her moaning and coughing awoke the rest of her acquaintances.
"Why won't she wake up?"
"Her face is burning up."
"But she's shivering."
"Probably having nightmares from her life as a waif."
"Shut up Helena."
"'Ponine!"
"L'il Rose!"
"Eponine!"
"Arielle!"

I am a person who enjoys variety, so I try to write in different genres, though drama, suspense, and romance are my fortes I am told. Here is an excerpt from a sci-fi book I'm considering continuing Pangaea. Quite apparently I have misunderstood the movement of the plates, so please ignore the mistake of which lands would connect first.
In the blink of an eye, there came the jolt. This was no ordinary jolt, it could not be compared to any disaster this world's ever seen. Buildings swayed and were torn off their foundations, large cracks occured all over Europe, Africa, and the Americas. Across sea, the Great Wall of China chipped and cracked. The pandemonium continued for a week straight, everyday settling minorly. Finally, when the week was up, the world saw the damge. Millions were dead from a variety of anything but subtle causes. Great cities were devastated and now lay in ruin. Despite all of these horrifying sights, only one caught the eyes of the world. Where there had once been a bottomless canyon, the lands had connected. Cracked of course, but still connected.
As all gazed in silence at this sight, Eartha whispered to no one inparticular, "I knew it, Pangaea is being recreated!"
